#5 : Bonjour Tout Le Monde

Yet another French quote! 🙂

If only I had as much time as I have ideas.

If I did not have this tension of time looming over me, I’d spend most of my life reading and eating. (Yes I do that already, but not as much as I would like 😉 :p ) What would you do?

  1. I have some questions:
Why are you (at your age) feeling a tension over time? If you have a tangible answer, then how will you handle it later in life when the reality of an “average life span” becomes evident? Why can’t you spend your complete life reading and eating? You are the only one that has to be satisfied that this is a good “use” of your life.

    1. Haha good questions, but extremely personal. 🙂 I have tensions because my exams are coming up and my semester will end and I have no idea what I’ll do after my graduation. And yes m figuring it out ‘)

      1. Good answer and privacy respected. If it is of any consolation, many people do not have a post grad plan (at least one that makes sense), and simply coast until such time as a direction is realised. A quote which I may have posted some time ago: “There is nothing worse than climbing the ladder to success, only to find that you had it up against the wrong wall!” 🙂

  2. My personal dilemma was a conflict between what I really wanted to do and what I was expected to do. Family pressures, and even peer pressures, can be troublesome. Of course no decision need be final anyway and, noting that statistically (here) people are averaging at least 2 career changes during their working life, there will always be opportunities for change.

    1. Yeah I think most of us face this dilemma between rising to other’s expectations and pursuing our dreams 🙂 I did and I probably will in the future :p 🙂 but I think I’ll be able to make the right choice in the end 🙂

    1. So volunteer more.
So start writing a little every day.
Motivation? If you are lucky…. tomorrow will come, but at some point in the future…. it will not. The fact that you “eating up” your life at 24 hrs per day, and you can never get those 24hrs back ……….. could motivate you perhaps? Would you like (in the future) to reflect on your life and wonder ……………. “If only I had…………” or “I wish now that I had …..” or “I wonder if I could have …………..” 🙂

      1. I actually like cooking more than eating. Many times eating fills like a “let’s get it over with” chore, but cooking… that’s getting creative!

      2. Hahaha true 🙂 🙂 when I’m cooking, it feels like I’m are in control…I realise it sounds a bit lame… But I have this illusion of control over my life when I’m cooking… Something amazing!
